This world is all
about selling and buying and in this race we have to find grounds for the best
deals that we can benefit from. We want to buy cheap and sell expensive, before
the sales we clean up our item, add polish and make it look better so, customers
can like the look and make a purchase. This is done to all items from small to
big, just remember how we tried to sell our car – we make up broken, loose
parts and clean it.

Same applies to our
house, if we want to sell it we want to make it look good, have a
representative view for the money that we asking for. Of course, we do not make
inspection before the sales to fix all issues to increase the value of the
house; this sometimes may be too much expensive.
During the spare time at
kitchen/home, probably most of us are opening and closing cabinets, i.e. testing
the closing feature of their doors and drawers. Same happens when we are in a
house for sale. Once we are in the kitchen we start to open and close drawers
and doors, probably we assume that we will find something. But, indeed
unconsciously we are checking whether cabinets are slamming or not. You can
name it differently but, we are doing same with one purpose on our mind.

Considering the fact
that there are two important/most expensive parts of the house which remains to
the new owner are bathroom and kitchen, both have cabinets and it is not so
hard to guess that their improvement may cause to increase the value of house.

Cabinets are available
in 3 types: regular, soft – close and push – to – open. Push – to – open type
is more complicated to make and is considered to be a high-end solution,
whereas, soft-close is more easy and common. Soft-closing feature is a kind of
feature that we expect to have on good cabinets and may watch the way it is
closing.
To make cabinets soft – close we have to separate them to the doors and drawers. Doors have mostly hinges and drawers slides. The easiest and cheapest way is to add damper, however this solution is not aesthetic. Another solution is to change them to the soft close and there, biggest challenge is slides. If you do not have enough space between your drawer and cabinet do not try, just use damper and replace it when it not function properly. One or two dampers will be enough for cabinet. For damper just check the options that we have.
